DANGEROUS THINGS
Collaborative Residency
Sam Keogh
Joseph Noonan Ganley

17th - 29th November 2009

Sam Keogh and Joseph Noonan Ganley occupied Exchange Dublin for two weeks. They brought materials, musical instruments, recording equipment, texts and laptops and worked toward one artwork for each day of the residency. The objective of this structure was to provide a simple framework which would facilitate a negotiation between the two artists' quite different practices. Together, they addressed ideas of resistance, collectivity, radical politics and their relationship to aesthetics through a process of experimentation and play. The emphasis was on high turnover of work produced exclusively collaboratively and culminated in a three day exhibition in the gallery space at EXCHANGE.
